Remember as kids we looked forward to visiting the Easter bunny at the mall and to get a picture on his lap? What did we ever ask of it, can you please bring me a shiny pink plastic egg on Sunday? We got to look for them all over our yard, and couldn't even carry all of them back to our baskets! Only to find they were filled with loads of more candy we didn't need to fulfill our sugar rush. I decided to take a bunch of candy filled eggs to the park yesterday for all of my nephews to enjoy, you know what they asked me, is there money in them? I don't know about your traditions, but never did I get money from a plastic egg, thrown in the grass, and supposedly left by the Easter bunny. Don't get me wrong, traditions are fun but changing them up to please children who already have everything is crazy to me. I think getting together with family is so much more important. We were blessed this weekend to go to our church for Good Friday service and sang so loudly that I know my grandparents in heaven could even hear me! Saturday we were able to demonstrate our love for CCV and take my in-laws and brother in law to service, Sunday as well with my parents. I have to tell you, going to service three days in a row was not too much (as my husband complained it was), but felt relief for all the years I had found something better to do which now amazes me! Nothing has compared to what we experienced with our families this past weekend....priceless.
