Rainy Day Outing

Cody and I went to Downtown Glendale today with our neighbors.  We had a good time, and got hailed on while eating raspberry sorbet.  Just a fun and quick outing together before I head into the hospital tomorrow.

Early Xmas for the Weiman's

We celebrated Xmas early with Bryan's family last night.  Ann made turkey chili and red velvet cupcakes, they were both so good!  Cody got a book all about cats behavior and a Bionicle lego set.  I got the Perfect Brownie Pan and a pink snuggie.  Bryan got cash for some new shoes and a nice black Calvin Klein shirt.  I just love Xmas and spending time with family.  It's just too bad we had to rush through it this year, but we will be receiving the best present ever this Christmas...in 2 more days!!!

Cody's new cat book from grandma Ann

Bryan, Neal and Cher...doesn't that wine look lovely?!

Cody and Omi, we got great grandma music notes since she is a piano teacher, she loved them.

Ann and Neal - my in-laws

Ann's tree theme this year - "Paris", it turned out beautiful!

QuoteMedia Xmas Party

This year our work Christmas party was at my bosses house in Fountain Hills. It turned out so perfect, instead of being rushed through dinner at a loud restaurant.  We had time to relax, play "Left, Right & Center" and enjoy great food as well as great company together.

We better check on FaceBook now!

Cody n Mom

This picture turned out so cute....Cody will always be my baby too!

35 weeks

The countdown (has been on) for me, with a lack of sleep, no way to get comfortable sitting, standing or lying down, and going to the bathroom countless times throughout the day.  I am ready for Adyson to come, but of course know I have 3 weeks and 3 days left of this pregnancy.  I really can't wait to see who she looks like more, she will probably take after her dad with the light hair and hopefully my blue eyes!  Here is me on Thanksgiving.....it looks like I ate an entire turkey myself that day.  Nope just Adyson kicking me like crazy wanting out so she can celebrate Xmas and New Year's with us this year.

I love my boys!

Adyson and I will be sharing the playing field with Bryan and Cody shortly, but I just wanted to say how grateful I am for them.  I love Bryan and Cody, they make me happy to be alive!

Handsome and priceless they are....

33 Weeks....

I just went to my OB appointment last week, and Dr. C is scheduling my c-section for 12/28 (Nikki's Birthday)!  So that means I have 6 weeks left of being prego, come on Adyson I am ready for your cute face to cuddle...

Do you like my "baby" tank...I blinged it yesterday!

State Fair Trip #2

Before!
After...

Bryan's friends race in the demolitian derby every year. We got out to the fair early so we could check out the car before it got all smashed up. Cody looks like a teenager sitting behind the wheel....scary that in just a few short years he will really be driving or racing one of these!

Changes Happening

  1. I will finally stop to smell the roses because Adyson will be in my arms
  2. The sacrifices that I thought I made to have another baby will no longer seem like sacrifices
  3. I respect my parents and love them in an entirely new way
  4. I will believe in things again that I once believed as a child
  5. I will think of someone else 235,669 times a day
  6. Everyday will be a surprise and an adventure
  7. My love will become limitless, with another human being relying on me
  8. True joy doesn't come from material wealth or possessions
  9. I don't mind going to bed at 8pm anymore
  10. The weight I have gained...is totally worth it!
  11. I have discovered an inner strength I never thought I had
  12. I find myself wanting to make this world a better place
  13. I cherish my friendships even more, and other mothers who share in these experiences with me
  14. Love at first sight will happen all over again soon
  15. No matter what I have accomplished so far in life, I can at least look at my children and say "Great Job"

AZ State Fair

Bryan and I try and make it to the fair at least once a year.  We went opening weekend to see Stone Temple Pilots perform.  After parking, admission, 1 fry bread, 1 corn dog and 1 carmel apple later = $60 we were out of cash!  We are however taking Cody next Saturday night, not only will Kelly Clarkson be there, but it's also the night of the demolition derby.  Great place to people watch....people come out of hiding once a year to attend the greatest place with fried stuff on a stick and I heard they even have chocolate covered scorpions this year....no thanks.

Baby Shower 10/10

This Saturday Ann, Kristy & Tiffany G. threw me a baby shower and it turned out beautifully!  Everything from the fresh flowers and pacifier napkin rings to the marshmellow cupcakes and fruit salad were a hit.  I love how weeks of planning by my closest family and friends came together so perfectly.  I wasn't feeling too great that day, but seeing all of my friends and opening up all of Adyson's gifts made me forget I was under the weather for a few hours.  I wish I could have had 3 baby showers like my friend Michelle, because getting spoiled is not so bad after all!  I just loved all of my thoughtful gifts, especially the homemade ones from Tiffany S., Brandy B., Karen M. and Whitney C. I can't wait for Adyson to come into this world so I can show her off in all of her cute outfits too...yes I think I may have too many but this is my first GIRL so enought said!  Thanks to everyone, for making this day a memory I will never forget.

28 weeks!

Adyson's Mural

We have been waiting for this day to come, my friend Samantha is an artist and we have been great friends since high school.  She wanted to paint a mural in Adyson's bedroom for us to enjoy.  After many "ideas" and time spent at Home Depot picking out paint called banana split, bubblegum, and chocolate mint the end result is more than I had expected.  These pictures don't do enough justice, but the room will be complete in time for my baby shower on October 10th. I can't wait for you to see it in person.  Cody even helped paint a butterfly on his sister's wall.....which he is so proud of!

Cody's Sibling Adjustment Class

Cody learned how to hold a baby properly, be a "helper" to mom and Bryan, and be an outlet detective.
We had to watch a cheesy 80's video of kids over acting and pouting that they had a baby brother/sister home from the hospital, but it was cute to hear Cody's responses to the nurses questions yesterday.  The only bummer was that because of the Swine Flu, hospitals are no longer allowing any siblings in the hospital under the age of 12.  This means Cody won't get to meet his baby sister until she comes home, which he is upset about.  I told him a lot can change between now and December, keep your fingers crossed for him!

Even Shadow isn't interested in Obama's speech we printed out to read!

This picture says it all......gotta love our NOBAMA CAT!

Her name is......

So after all of us choosing our top 3 favorite names, we all had Adyson on our list.  This is the name I had loved even before we knew we were having a baby, and that it was a girl!  So one more thing down, our little girl finally has a name instead of "baby".  Adyson Marie Weiman, same initials as her mommy!

22 Weeks Pregnant

So Tiffany reminded me that I should be taking "timeless" photos of my baby belly growing. Below is a shot of me today at 22 weeks - tomorrow. I keep wondering if this heat will ever disappear so I can quit thinking about being naked all day long. If only we had a pool, I would be living in it! I think I will continue to have Bryan take these ever so cute photos of me every 4 weeks from here on out. Still trying to get Bryan to decide on a name - Addison, Emma or Bryanna what do you think?!

Luv~

It's A Girl!!!

Well I love the color pink, and we got our wish come true today....

Baby Weiman was being stubborn but we got plenty of good pics and measurements.

She is 18 weeks and 3 days today, right on target as we thought. So far we like the name Emma, but I am sure as suggestions roll in we will have plenty more choices between now and December. Grandma Ann is thrilled, since she has 6 grandsons and now this will be her first granddaughter of the bunch! Here is a sneak peek of the little one, couldn't be happier right now : )

My 2 Pirates!

Cali was priceless, sharing our last vacation with Cody before the baby comes.
Next summer Baby Weiman will be 6 months old, and will be enjoying these memories with us!

The "Children's Pool" in La Jolla was amazing. The city is trying to run out the seals so that the children can play on this part of the beach again. As you can see the seals are still enjoying it and I don't blame them, they are adorable and this is their home not ours!

We went to the Japanese Garden in Balboa Park (San Diego). I have always wanted to see and feel the "quiet" surroundings. This picture just sums up being peaceful and content in my eyes!

July 18th, my 31st birthday and exactly 4 months pregnant! I found this cute flower headband at the Garden Walk near Disney, believe it or not Bryan even "loved it with my outfit"! My sister in law Nicole took us around for the day, took me to get my eyebrows waxed and bought me Sprinkles cupcakes. Nice and relaxing for Mrs. Prego : )

Cody just loves going to the beach every summer, he lives in the water and loves riding the waves on his boogie board. I just love this pic of him, taking a break and basking in the sun and sand in Huntington Beach.

CALI 09

We just made it back from our final family vacation of 3! It has become tradition to visit SoCal where Bryan's family lives every summer, and this year we decided to go over my 31st birthday. This picture was taken on the pier of Huntington Beach, windy as always but enjoyed the cooler weather in the 70's.

What a Wonderful Day!

Today is Father's Day, this year it means so much more to our family since we are expecting a child in December. Not only am I thankful for Bryan's role as a loving husband, but also as a supportive step father to Cody. I can't wait for our family to grow even more, this is going to be a great year with memorable holidays ahead.

On June 8th, we went to our new OB Dr. Clinch and got to hear the baby's heartbeat! At first baby Weiman was being stubborn (like B), and was hiding out. For a few minutes we thought we were going to get a sneak peak with 10 week pictures. The doc tried one more time after examining me, and what do you know. A very quick heartbeat, sounding healthy as ever. What a great bonding moment for us. It also made things very real, there is finally a little one being made inside of me. Life's greatest miracle....not enough words for it.

We are Expanding our Family!

I know everyone says you should wait until your first trimester, or after you hear the baby's heartbeat, even once you get your first ultrasound pictures to share the news with family and friends. Most of our family and closest friends have already heard the news that I am pregnant and I have broken all of those rules! My tentative due date is January 3, 2010 however I most likely will have another C-section. If that is the case, maybe we can pick our baby's due date instead?! I keep thinking New Year's Eve or New Year's Day would be fun! Either way, as long as our baby is healthy and home for the holidays/New Year that would be awesome. So far, I seem to be getting sick easier than I did with Cody. I can't finish my meals and I can't be in the car for too long without wanting to vomit. Gotta love baby making....Amy

Traffic 101

Today was four hours of useful information, so after $175 speeding ticket later I learned some interesting stuff that I thought I should pass on to my friends:
  1. Women invented seat belts - big surprise!
  2. Stop signs used to be yellow
  3. You can't go more than 85 without being considered a "criminal"
  4. You only get 6 points counted against you if you are involved in an accident, and leave the scene of it (CRAZY), but yet it's 2 points for a speeding ticket!
  5. Children are legally allowed to sit in the back of a truck, with no seat belts
  6. Dogs are suggested to be tied up if riding in the back of a truck, but if it's summertime you will instead get in trouble for pet abuse/endangerment.
  7. If you get pulled over and the cop asks you if they can test you for drinking, if you say no, your license can be revoked for one year, a worse penalty than a DUI.
  8. If you arrive at a four way stop at the same time as someone else, you would allow the person to your right to go first.
  9. Someone with their music loud, has the same hearing impairment as a 93 year old person.
  10. You can call the police if you feel that your life is in "imminent" danger with another driver on the road (Road Rage)
  11. There is such a thing as "The Stupid Motorist" law, for those who think they can cross a raging river and get stuck!
  12. The most expensive ticket, is driving in an HOV lane by yourself within the posted hours.
  13. You can "run" a red light if an emergency vehicle is behind you and you are unable to pull off to the right to get out of their way.
  14. If you start skidding, you are supposed to turn your wheel in the direction that you are skidding to slow your vehicle down.
  15. Playing jeopardy for 4 hours with a bunch of random strangers is better than 8 hours with gory videos.
  16. Time flies, when you make a new friend at Traffic school (like my husband said we have something in common...speeding)!

Easter Weekend

Remember as kids we looked forward to visiting the Easter bunny at the mall and to get a picture on his lap? What did we ever ask of it, can you please bring me a shiny pink plastic egg on Sunday? We got to look for them all over our yard, and couldn't even carry all of them back to our baskets! Only to find they were filled with loads of more candy we didn't need to fulfill our sugar rush. I decided to take a bunch of candy filled eggs to the park yesterday for all of my nephews to enjoy, you know what they asked me, is there money in them? I don't know about your traditions, but never did I get money from a plastic egg, thrown in the grass, and supposedly left by the Easter bunny. Don't get me wrong, traditions are fun but changing them up to please children who already have everything is crazy to me. I think getting together with family is so much more important. We were blessed this weekend to go to our church for Good Friday service and sang so loudly that I know my grandparents in heaven could even hear me! Saturday we were able to demonstrate our love for CCV and take my in-laws and brother in law to service, Sunday as well with my parents. I have to tell you, going to service three days in a row was not too much (as my husband complained it was), but felt relief for all the years I had found something better to do which now amazes me! Nothing has compared to what we experienced with our families this past weekend....priceless.

Tiffany's Baby Shower

On Saturday we threw Tiffany the most beautiful baby shower imaginable. I don't think I could have thought of all the great ideas her sister Brandy came up with. I find so much joy in great company, good weather and celebrating a new life with friends and family. I took so many pictures of the spread, Tiffany's daughter will one day get to see pictures of her first party all in honor of her!!! Honestly the day was perfect....must I say more.

Our Kitty Family

Look how adorable our kitties are, they think that Cody's stuffed animal is their baby!
Little does Shadow know that if that kitten were real, he would be smothering the poor cat while laying on top of it. This picture was still priceless, so I had to share with everyone. Cupcake is allowing daddy to take care of the baby, and what does he do but sleep as usual....

A Heart of Gratitude

The theme at church on Saturday night was about the hindrances to a grateful heart and how to develop a heart of gratitude. Really it was eye opening, one for me was "Constant Comparisons". I tend to (as my husband reminded me) compare my husband to all of my friends' husbands and really that does not make me wise or for him to feel loved. I don't intentionally do it, but I now know that my comments in front of Bryan are negative at times and that corrupts my good character. I need to acknowledge that everything that we have is God's, not ours, and therefore express my thanks often to him.

I am thankful for many things....

  • Having a husband who loves me for me
  • Having a son who shows me what living is all about
  • Having parents who are still married going on 31 years, which gives me hope that being married to only one man forever IS possible
  • Having a house to come home to at night after a long day at work
  • Having a reliable car to drive me anywhere my little heart desires (that includes getting ice cream late at night)
  • Having friends who I know I can call at any time to discuss anything
  • Having a cat who adores me and waits for me to pull in the driveway
  • Having a job with reliability and flexibility for as long as I choose
  • Having the character to warm people's hearts and make lifelong friendships
  • Having my dreams come true day after day, by just being open to change

If they win, I can guarantee we will be having another Superbowl party at our casa in two weeks. Root, Root, Root for the Home Team...yeah Go Cardinals we know you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
